Questions
Is the South African invoice generator free?
Yes. Fill in the form and download the PDF, with no sign-up and no limit. What you type stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers.
Will it stay free?
Yes. Invoices, quotes and receipts stay free, with no limits. Later we’ll add optional Pro extras such as recurring invoices and automatic reminders. The first 500 people who create an account get Pro free for life.
Is it a valid tax invoice?
When you’re a VAT vendor it prints a full tax invoice, which is valid at any amount: the words “Tax Invoice”, your name, address and VAT number, your client’s name, address and VAT number, the number and date, a description with quantities, and the values with the VAT.
Can I make an invoice if I’m not registered for VAT?
Yes. That’s where it starts: your invoice is titled “Invoice” and shows no VAT and no VAT number. Switch on VAT registration once SARS has registered you.
Does it file my VAT201?
No. Signed-in businesses get a VAT201 summary — fields 1, 2, 2A, 3 and 4, plus the VAT on credit and debit notes — to copy into eFiling, but Invoice Native doesn’t submit anything.
