PST only where it applies
Mark the items PST applies to — software, repairs, legal services — and it’s charged on those lines only.

Questions
Is the Canadian invoice generator free?
Yes. Fill in the form and download the PDF, with no sign-up and no limit. What you type stays in your browser and is never sent to our servers.
Will it stay free?
Yes. Invoices, quotes and receipts stay free, with no limits. Later we’ll add optional Pro extras such as recurring invoices and automatic reminders. The first 500 people who create an account get Pro free for life.
Which sales tax does it charge?
It works out the tax from where your client is: HST in Ontario and the Atlantic provinces, GST in Alberta and the territories, GST plus PST, RST or QST in BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Quebec. You can change the province on any invoice.
Can I make an invoice if I’m not registered for GST/HST?
Yes. That’s where it starts: as a small supplier your invoice shows no GST/HST and no registration number. Switch on GST/HST registration once you have your Business Number and RT account.
Does it file my GST/HST return?
No. Signed-in businesses get a GST/HST return summary (lines 101, 103 and 105, plus QST and PST by province) to copy into CRA My Business Account or their accountant’s software, but Invoice Native doesn’t file anything.
